The history of Casa Rosada goes back at least 45 years and it has gradually been added to by successive gringo owners from USA. Currently it is owned by a Dutch family and their sister runs it. We had an amazing dinner last night - I had my first (of many I hope) lobsters and it was delicious! John and Moira had shrimp. Today we have been chatting to Jeff from Boulder Colorado who has just hired a kayak for a few days and is heading off on his own to discover the mangrove swamps and the coast. It is spitting with warm rain at the moment so we can't be bothered to venture out - just watching the activity on the pier nearby with the fishing boats and the flocks of Pelicans sleeping on the top decks of the boats. There are a couple of French families staying here as well - the atmosphere here is so laid back we are almost horizontal - which is good after our horrific day of travel yesterday.
