The dining area here was buzzing with people when we got back at 8 last night and we had dinner and chatted with the wife of one of the sailing group who had just arrived from doing a presentation at the Miami boat show on why and how you should go to Cuba sailing. It was interesting as I was thinking of Simon and Ana going next month. She has sailed there lots and loves it and showed us some lovely pics - unlike the French couple in Atitlan she said it was fine to go diving there and that the huge escarpments off shore are full of corals and she recommended the dive hotel. It is clearly one of her favourite places of the moment. She said just make sure you don't ask anyone to do anything that is against the rules because they just deport you but then they force you to tell who of the locals helped you and their fate is not so nice. If I see her again I will try to get some names of her favourite places from her.
The weather is fine here today with a slight breeze and sky dotted with clouds - I think we will catch the launch along to Castillo San Felipe for the afternoon - we are a bit late to kayak because they say it gets too windy in the afternoon - another lazy day for us.
