OFF TO HONDURAS TOMORROW

It has rained all day today and there is not a lot to do around here when the sun isn't shining so we have booked a private shuttle bus to take us on a 4 hour journey to the Honduras border at el Florido and from there it is a short journey to the Mayan ruins of Copan.  The bus will then wait for us and bring us back - up at 4.45 am to catch the launch from the hotel to town and then the bus.  We will be having a lie in the next day.  We hope the weather will improve after that.  Had dinner with a large group of the local sailors tonight who keep their boats here and most have been living on them for the past 15 years or so - very resourceful and interesting people who reminded me of the life John's mum and dad must have had living on the boat around here.  Their boats are all around 40 to 50 foot and some of them are in their 70s or more.
